BPA LIONESS KARNAVATI HOSTEL

The project will be located on a piece of land near the BPA camps adjacent to GMDC. The BPA has a ladies Hostel on that campus called the BPA Lioness Karnavati Hostel for Disabled Women. The Hostel was built in 1992 and is inadequate for our residents. Its foundation is not strong enough to allow more floors. These are pictures of the old, current Hostel

The BPA proposes to demolish the existing hostel and construct a new building with seven floors.

This Hostel began in 1992 and has provided a home away from home to girls and women with disabilities over the past three decades. We started the Hostel when there were no roads or streetlights. In these decades this property is now prime land and is adjoining the GMDC and the Ahmedabad One Mall.  Recently, AMC has provided an approach road to the campus, and we are now well connected with all the major roads.

Girls with disabilities who stayed here have carved a name for themselves. Some examples are:
