Saddened on the demise of Padma Shri Dr. Pankaj M Shah, stalwart in the field of Oncology, BPA Family pays glowing tributes to the memory of this great human being. Apart from leading the movement of cure of cancer in the country, he was a great friend of BPA. He took the initiative of employing people with disabilities for registration of patients and preparation and storage of case files. Motivated from this initiative, Civil Hospitals at Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Jamnagar and Bhavnagar also employed people with disabilities for this task on commission basis.

As President of Sadvichar Parivar, he played an instrumental role in setting us joint project with BPA on providing services of early intervention to children with disabilities as Sadvichar Parivar, Naroda campus. This Centre is known as Lakshya. During his tenure at Director of Cancer Hospital, he provided treatment to large number of people with visual impairment, mostly free of cost.

Andhjan Mandal, Vastrapur celebrates 90th birthday of senior Trustee, Smt. Sunitaben Vatsalbhai Thakor. She has been providing her honorary services to the organization for the last 30 years. The Trustees, Staff and volunteers very much appreciated her outstanding support to BPA. Her son, Sudeep and his family; her daughter, Sonali and her family have been providing financial support to BPA. The Music School for the Blind is being run completely with the financial support of her family.
