In collaboration with Medison Resource Foundation India, Blind People’s Association launched a project named Tanya Computer Centre in 2019. This project aims at promoting computer literacy in rural areas of the state of Gujarat. Currently, four centers have been set up in Kapadvanj, district Kheda, Sayla, district Surendranagar, Deesa, district Banaskantha, and Ahmedabad. We run four month’s course in basic computer in these centers. This course aims at enabling students to use computer in jobs and their day to day life.
MOU was signed on 19th January 2019.
Four centers in Gujarat were set up.
This was the first it’s kind of approach in rural areas of Gujarat.
The main purpose is to motivate people with blindness and low vision for computer literacy.
The coverage and reach suggests that we are successful to achieve the set purpose.
