Assistive Technology is a fast growing and fast changing field. In recent years, many new affordable tools and devices have been developed to bring ease independence and competence in the life of persons with blindness and low vision. They are developed in various parts of the country. There was a strong need for bringing all these tools, applications and devices under one roof to allow users to have First-hand experience of these tools apps and devices and to make appropriate choice to address their need and overcome their problems. With the generous support of Union Bank, Blind People’s Association started The First Technology Museum in 2016.

This museum has a collection of equipment’s for mobility, health, education, reading and writing, visual graphs, and other areas of every-day life. The museum also has a collection of low vision devices and apps.

This museum also helps the young researchers to understand problems faced by persons with blindness and low vision, and efforts made till now to overcome the respective problem.
