The awards presentation was held on 25March, 2022 at NASEOH, Postal Colony Road, Chembur, Mumbai. Ms. Kinnari Desai, Senior Manager Inclusion accepted the Award on behalf of BPA.

Dr. Bhushan Punani, General Secretary of Blind People’s Association has been conferred the NAB Delhi Sarojini Triloknath National Award 2021 which consists of a citation, certificate, trophy and cheque of Rs. 50,000. This award is bestowed on him for devoting his life to the empowerment of persons with visual impairments and his remarkable achievements. The award ceremony was held on 3 December, 2021 (World Disabled Day) in New Delhi.

Ms. Sonal Madhani, who is a person with visual impairment and Music Teacher of Adult Training Centre for the Blind conferred the Best Student Award in Special B.Ed from Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar University by the worthy hands of Mrs. Anjali Roopani on 13 January, 2021.
Nandlal Gautam (trainee from Vocational training centre, BPA) received Smt. Nandini P. Divetiya Rural Rehabilitation Award for Disabled for the year 2020. Many congratulations to Nandlal. He received certificate and 15000/- cash prize from Rural Development and Management Institute (RUDMI)
Mrs. Nalini Rawal staff and mother of multiple disabled girl Juhi conferred “Seva Sahayak” Award from the Society for the Welfare of the Mentally Retarded (SWMR) in 2020.

Mrs. Sudha Joshi was conferred National Award as a Best Special Educator by the HE The President of India in a virtual distribution ceremony on 5 September, 2020, Teachers Day. Ms. Joshi has recently retired from the school but continues providing her voluntary services to students with disabilities
National Teacher Award 2020: Sudhaben Joshi, Science Teacher of the BPA Higher Secondary School has been conferred the Teachers Felicitation Award by Aurobindo Society by the Hon’ble Minister of Human Resource Development Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal on 3rd March, 2020 in New Delhi.

Blind People’s Association (BPA) was conferred the National Award in the category of Civil Services Organization by President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind at the 16th National Voters’ Day – 25th January, 2020 at Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi for its outstanding role in making elections accessible for persons with disabilities. Dr. Bhushan Punani, Executive Secretary of BPA and Member of National Advisory Committee on Accessible Voting received the Award from Hon’ble President on behalf of BPA. The BPA had produced ballet papers, voter ID cards, voter’s slips and voter information booklets in Braille for people with visual disabilities. It also promoted accessibility for persons with orthopaedic disability, hearing impairment and deafblindness. BPA produced ballet papers in audio for the first time in the country and also developed voting process in sign language and imparted training to voting booth officials.
National Awards for 2019: BPA was conferred the National CSO Award for Accessible Election (for taking special drive towards making election process accessible to PwDs through provision of accessible electoral process with Braille Ballots preparation, orientation of electoral Officers about disabilities and Braille making on EVM Machines. This Award was by Election Commission of India, New Delhi
Divyang Ratna Awards: Girls and boys of BPA Dance Group were conferred this Award by Kalgi Foundation on 27th July, 2019 at Gujarat University.
Ms. Sudhaben Joshi, Teacher of Higher Secondary School was honored by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Vijay Rupani as the Best Teacer under his famous programme “Mann Nii Moklas”.
Mr. Sunil Gaurier, Occupational Therapist of BPA was conferred Dr. Pushpaben Mankad Occupational Therapy Award” on the occasion of World Occupational Therapy Day – 27th October, 2019.
Ms. Sonal Madhani, Music Teacher has been conferred the National Award under the Category “Best Female with Visual Impairment for the year 2019” by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment on 3rd December at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi by the Vice-President of India Shri Venkaiah Naidu.
Dr. Bhushan Punani was conferred Lakshmipat Singhania-IIM Lucknow National Leadership Award by the worthy hands of Hon’ble President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind in a glittering ceremony in New Delhi on 9th December, 2019. He has been awarded this honour as Leader in “Community Service & Social Upliftment”. The citation of the award reads, “This Award is presented in recognition of outstanding dedication and sincere in the promotion of social welfare in the field of community services and social upliftment.
The selection committee of the National Association for the Blind, Delhi Branch has chosen Blind People’s Association, Ahmedabad for the NAB Sarojini Trilok Nath National Award under the Best Institution Category. The Award event was held on 1st December, 2019 at Siri Fort Auditorium, New Delhi. Mr. F.J. Porwal, Secretary and Mr. H.M. Panchal, Director (Training) of BPA received this Award from the Trustees of NAB Delhi Branch.
Society for the Welfare of Mentally Retarded (SWMR) organized a cultural program on 8 February 2019. 26 children from Mental Hygiene Clinic (MHC) and Visually Impaired with Additional Disabilities (VIAD) units of BPA participated in the programme and they won 2 prize. The prize was handed over to the Coordinators and Special Educators of the Units.
