About Vision-In-The-Dark
With the help of an experienced visually impaired guide, visitors will be led through replicas of various everyday buildings where they must identify objects and complete tasks without the use of sight. The guide also engages visitors in thought provoking discussions that incite the change of common perceptions surrounding the experience of the visually impaired. It is an experience that truly highlights the importance of the other senses and how often their value is ignored.
Objectives
Enable family members of those with disabilities to enhance their capacity to appropriately care for them and understand their needs
Inspire engineers, architects, and designers to include accessibility measures in infrastructure.
